I am an artist from a Japanese ceramist family. I have lived and worked in Europe for more than

23 years. I show my artwork in Europe, Asia and the US. I also taught at several Universities as a
lecturer and a professor in Europe.
Lately I started to use ceramics in project. Because of knowing a lot of ceramists in Europe and
Asia, I began to consider how ceramics technique and knowledge can be combined with my art
work. I have known many people who has been in JDZ and they advised to go and experience its
local culture. Also, when I had mt solo exhibition at the Shanghai glass museum in 2018, I got
more information about JDZ and your institute. It will be very educational and significant
experience to understand ceramics/ porcelain making culture. I am interested in making forms
such as figures and traditional blue brush decoration.
