Vicky Shaw studied at Staffordshire University with a BA (Hons) Bachelor's degree and then a Master's degree in Ceramic Design. After completing her graduate program, she became a researcher in the Ceramics Department of the University of Wolverhampton, specializing in ceramic printing creation.
In 2001, she was invited by Wedgwood to use the Jasper clay mechanism to collect a one-off work, which was exhibited at the 100% designed Wedgwood booth in London. At the same time, she is also engaged in research and development projects as a surface pattern designer and ceramic printing consultant for Rosenthal in Germany and Kohler Co in the United States.
